Copperleaf one of Porvorim’s most busy and well-frequented eatery bagged the Restaurants award 2019, for serving the best coastal cuisine. The award recognizes the restaurant for its splendid work in Goan and coastal cuisine in west India.
Located near the NH-66 highway, Copperleaf is in business for three years and in a short span is already a household name for serving authentic Goan cuisine. The restaurant also serves multi-cuisine fare and is popular with locals as well as tourists. The Restaurant awards 2019 organised by Restaurant India in partnership with Franchise India aims at felicitating good restaurants for their service in the hospitality sector. The award ceremony was in Mumbai at Sahara Star on June 13 2019.
According to the jury, the awards received an overwhelming response which made it difficult to nominate the best. Six remarkable restaurants were nominated in the coastal cuisine category with Copperleaf emerging as the winner.
Advaita Vazirani, editor-in- chief, Travel Food & Wine Magazine, presented the award in the presence of Sumant Vikas, chef, Cremica and Amit Sharma Cremica. Kamlesh Pai Bir and Pravin Prabhu received the award on behalf of Copperleaf and its team who are said to be the driving force behind the success of the restaurant.
